Conditions for this year’s event were big and burly with challenging conditions facing paddler as they paddled out the the Nine Pins Islands, the first stage of the race.  Racers then turned for the 2 step downwind leg, first two the “Kissing Whales” and then turning into the Tai Tam Bay and facing the final 5kms to the finish line.

“I’ve had an incredible trip here this year especially having my wife Pippa join me.  To top it off with a win in this intriguing race with it’s islands, cliff faces, fishing boats, massive ships and of course the Chinese culture

Sean Rice had the following to say: “Well that’s a wrap – the final race of 2015 for me. What a fantastic race in world class downwind conditions! I ended up 2nd at the Hong Kong Dragon Run to a classy Hank McGregor. I’ve done this race 6 times and this was by far the best conditions. A huge thank you to the race committee for yet another great event. Off to the famous after party now to celebrate an unforgettable season and then taking a long awaited holiday!!”

Here is what Nicole had to say: “Super happy to win the ladies category and get a 6th overall in the Hong Kong Dragon Run, it has been a magic trip!!!”
