Canadian Surfski Champs
July 15 - July 16
The CSC is a point-to-point, mass start, downwind surfski race taking place on Howe Sound through the heart of the stunning Sea to Sky corridor. The steep-sided mainland shores funnel the breezes as the daily thermals build the wind to 20+ knots at the northern end of the sound on a typical summer day. The Town of Squamish, is overlooked by the Stawamus Chief, a 2000ft sheer granite face and a mecca for rock climbers from around the world. The Squamish Harbour is a popular kiteboarding and windsurfing area because of the summer in-flow thermals.
